New modern building with 6,420 m2 of floor space
Saulgrub (Bavaria), March 4, 2011 – This week, ground was broken for the new, ultra-modern manufacturing facility of Gaplast GmbH in Peiting. Starting from January 2, 2012 – after only 10 months of construction – about 50 employees are already producing plastic packaging for the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and medical devices. For Gaplast the 10 million euro investment marks a significant increase in the production standard.
Before that a spot landing in construction management is required. The punctual hand-over of keys is guaranteed by Peneder Bau GmbH from Atzbach / Austria, being responsible for the design and execution of the new two-storey building for production, warehouse and offices.
“As a specialized supplier of plastic packaging for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and
medical technology industry, we pursue a successful niche strategy thanks to innovative solutions,” says Roland Kneer, CEO of Gaplast. Now the family business in Saulgrub – Altenau employs more than 120 people and serves industry leaders such as Boehringen Ingelheim, Hermes, Novartis, Ratiopharm, L’ Oréal and Roche among its customers. “Due to the good order situation, we reach our capacity limits at our current location. To get more space for some urgently needed machines we need to expand our production buildings”, Roland Kneer outlines the necessity of the actual construction project which just started. Since the good order situation dictates a tight schedule Gaplast decided to cooperate with the pacemakers of Peneder construction.
