The Gaplast GmbH company, founded in Saulgrub-Altenau in Bavaria 1976, has its roots in what was then Geiger-Plastic GmbH. It was there in 1969 that the idea grew up of setting up a new production unit based on a patent for a bellows stopper. With the takeover by Roland Kneer in 1989, the seal was firmly set on the tradition of innovative development within the industry. Incidentally, the description “medium-sized business” applies only in relation to staff numbers since the position and importance of this Upper Bavarian forge of ideas extends far beyond the frontiers of Germany and Europe. Today, Gaplast GmbH is an international family business operating at the leading edge of development and production of plastic systems for the pharmaceutical, medical technology, and cosmetics markets, while remaining true to its corporate philosophy: “In the service of health”.
